George Osborne unveils his first budget

Chancellor George Osborne has revealed the details of the budget today, which has attracted controversy by some people around the country. Osborne said that he has had to move “decisively”, which can be deemed “tough but fair.” VAT has been increased from 17.5% to 20%, while child benefit and public sector pay will be frozen. This action has been taken to tackle Britain’s record debts. Public service spending will also be cut by 25%. What do you make of the decisions? Do you feel the chancellor has got it right? Surprisingly the prices of tobacco, alcohol and fuel have not gone up. Tax credits are due to be cut for families who earn more than £40,000 a year. A two-year pay freeze is also going to be enforced for public servants who earn over £21,000, while those who earn less will each receive a pay rise of £250. Coming into immediate effect at midnight tonight is the capital gains tax rise, which is increasing to 28%. What are your views on this? As for single parents, they will be expected to look for a job once their youngest child begins school. There will be an extra £150 a year given to the poorest families though, through changes to family tax credits. Does this seem fair to you? Labour have come out strongly against the new budget by claiming it was “reckless” and would “throw people out of work”.

Oscars 2010 Live Stream Video: Oscars 2010 Date and Time Updates –…

This is the latest buzz and alerts for big 3 ceo. Keep in touch with our blog. The source to find all Hot News for CEO’s.

Oscars 2010 Live Stream Video: Oscars 2010 Updates and Winners for Best Picture – The 2010 Oscars are upon us toigh and you can watch live streaming video online of the award show.  The Oscars will start at 8 PM EST/5 PM PST and will air on tv on your local ABC affiliate. However, if you’re in the Cablevision viewing of Eastern NY, you will not be able to watch the Oscars online as ABC has pulled the network off of Cablevision.  Good news for those subscribers though because you can still watch the Oscar awards online. Here are some of the nominated film for Best Picture Award in Oscars 2010: Avatar – At the beginning of the calendar year, this was the clear favorite to be Best Picture, but The Hurt Locker seems to have taken some of its steam as Avatar has rolled into more and more millions. I think a second viewing proves (and I know there are thousands of you who’ve seen this a hell of a lot more than 2) only to underline Avatar’s strengths (the FX, oh, the FX) and highlight its weaknesses (Cameron’s wince-worthy dialogue, its quasi-generic plot). May be the safest pick for Best Picture, even if it’s really not the best. And then there’s that awful closing credits song… A Serious Man – The Coen brothers ( The Big Lebowski, No Country for Old Men ), call this move their most personal. I liked this movie a lot, but it just seems like a regular Coen Brothers film, only with a lot more Jewish people. The pre-credits prologue is still one of the funniest scenes of the year and darn if you aren’t saying the words “culture crash” after you see it. If any of you know someone like Larry Gopnik, stay far, far away from him. Precious – It took me about 20 minutes of watching this before I realized I wasn’t watching a movie about Buffalo Bill’s dog. A very good movie that no doubt got blurbs with the words “powerful” and “life-changing” and hyperbole of that sort, but it seems like an acting showcase more than anything else. Mo’ Nique will win Best Supporting Actress, and that’s all this movie should hope for in terms of awards. What staggers me about this movie is that it’s still good DESPITE having Mariah fucking Carey as part of its cast. I hope this doesn’t spawn talks of Glitter 2 or give Nick Cannon more movie roles. Inglourious Basterds – Admit it, you’ve never had so much fun seeing so many people die. Probably too polarizing and graphically violent to actually win Best Picture, but it’s probably the best time you’ve had in a theater all year. From Shoshana’s family getting mowed down in a basement to Eli Roth’s Nazi batting practice to history getting much needed fiery rewrite to The Jew Hunter’s final carvy comeuppance, no movie has provided so many quixotic smile moments in such a breezy 2 and a half hours. “It just might be my masterpiece.” It just might be.
